All courses being played in the 2007 Championships do not allow metal spikes. Please do not bring metal spikes or you will not be permitted to play.
There will be marshalls on the course at all times, ensuring that groups do not fall behind. The fields will be 288 every day, so it is emperative that you do not loose sight of the group ahead of you. Remember:-
Some of the courses do have local rules specific to that course. Example:
Hope Island - Hole 17 - Par 3 (180metres) if you land in the water hazard you MUST take a drop in the Drop zone (Forward 70 metres of the tee) under penalty. You are not permitted to tee off from the tee box, you must go to the drop zone.
Further local rules will be posted as they come to hand. They will also be covered in the pree tee off address each day.(6.45am and 12.15pm)
The standard of dress expected at all the courses is of a neat standard. Denim shorts are not permitted. The weather in March is usually hot and humid. It is advisable to use plenty of suntan lotion and drink plenty of non alcoholic fluids.
