Mark ALLEN began his professional golf career in 1990 and played Golf around the world for 15 years including stints in the U.S.A, Europe and Asia. One of his best tournament's result was when he finished 6th in 1992 Australian O
pen at The Lakes Golf Club in NSW behind Steve Elkington. Other players in that field were Wayne Grady, Greg Norman, Ray Floyd, Colin Montgomerie, Vijay Singh and Lee Janzen.
This includes finishing in the Top 50 in the Australasian Order of Merit eleven times, shooting 12 course records and playing in the 1999 British Open at Carnoustie.
Mark’s Media Career started after he qualified for that British Open when 3AW's Ross Stephenson made him their Golf correspondent after his first interview. For the next 5 years he relayed golf news and all the stories from the World of Golf back to Melbourne's leading breakfast program.
Mark has worked for all the free and pay tv networks hosting Australian Golf Tournaments and is fast forging a reputation for being Australia's leading Golf Commentator. Mark is also a regular presenter on Melbourne's leading sports radio station 1116 SEN.
Mark will be at Victoria Golf Club for clinics 10.30am - 1.30pm and will also be our guest speaker and a trophy presenter on presentation night.
